I can start by saying that photography is my passion, but blah blah we have heard it all. I have fallen in love with taking photos due to the camera being the least important element in photography. I however use the camera to capture the most important element of photography: my clients. I don’t photograph subjects, but photograph the way they make me feel. The reasoning behind the image is far more important than the aesthetic value and therefore the genres that I specialize in are deeply personal to me.
I try to bring something different to the table with almost every shoot I do and it is of utmost importance that I analyse and understand my client in the first few minutes of meeting or taking the first photo or two. Therewith I capture their uniqueness and vulnerability to compliment their beauty and I do believe each and every person has physically something that is beautiful the world want to see, specially when their beauty shines from within. I am proud of delivering work from the heart instead of my head, even though I have a vast knowledge of light and my camera – yes I shoot in manual mode only.
I make my bed in the Westrand and I am a sucker for clients who challenge my own limitations and technical knowledge. I’m a full time project manager. In my spare time I do weight training, take photos of my fur kids (with my cell phone mostly) and run a busy, but motivating Instagram account, which are some of the major activities that keep me busy.
