One of my biggest dreams is to do a whole shoot in just Black & White and understanding that I can’t do one of my normal family shoots or weddings in only Black & White, if not requested to do so, I have decided to create a project where I am allowed to deliver only Black & White images.  On Friday evening, while socialising with some of my previous Boudoir clients and talking about the recent hype of the Fifty Shades of Grey book and trilogy set, I have decided to use the concept of the different shades of grey (the colour “grey” and not the Christian Grey character Grey) for my project.

As all know that if you mix black and white you get the colour grey.  Adding more black the grey is a darker shade, and adding more white the grey is a lighter shade.   In photography, you get different Black and White post productions too, creating different shades of grey.

Since I did the boudoir workshop earlier in the year, I have fallen in love with boudoir more and more due to making women realise how beautiful they are by the time they leave a shoot.  Therefore, I thought about doing a project which only portrays the beauty of women in black and white images.  There is a saying that goes like this: “when you photograph in black and white, you capture the colour of the soul” and that is one of my ultimate goals.

I am totally out-of-my-skin happy about this and after thinking and brainstorming about what I would love to achieve with this project, I am excited to launch the Fifty Shades of Boudoir project today.  It will consist of a mini-boudoir shoot. The client will receive 10 high res edited images on disc as well as one signed A5 print of the image which will form part of the Fifty Shades of Boudoir project.   I will love to publish these in a Designer Album, which will also be available for purchase, as well as have an exhibition at a gallery – all this to celebrate women!

I am ending with this quote of Ted Grant which just says it all:

“When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes.  But when you photograph people in Black and White, you photograph their souls!”

Terms and conditions apply!

PS:  The client will sign a consent form giving DeAnna Photography permission to use the image chosen for the project for publicity purposes without damaging the client’s image or reputation.  The image chosen will be discussed with the client prior to publication, therefore getting the client’s permission to publish the image.

All images will be in good taste and of high standard portraying the beauty of a woman.

What an awesome idea. I am definitely in just give me another month or so to reach my goal weight. This will be a gift to myself and for Raymond. I will use this shoot as a reminder of how far I have come in losing weight and never to get complacent again.

Great idee Juanette! Dit gaan ‘n unieke projek wees. Om in monochrome te shoot het sy uitdagings maar het great resultate ook.
